You Waste Money for Watching Artists, Actors., What About Us Pastors?

As someone who grew up in an African household, attending church has always been a customary practice. Many people go to church to worship, pray, and connect with other members of the same faith. However, it's also common for individuals to attend church to listen to the teachings of the church leaders, also known as pastors. Recently, a picture shared on Twitter sparked a debate on the ethics of pastors receiving money from their congregations. The image depicted a pastor sitting on the church floor surrounded by money bills.

Some argue that there's nothing wrong with pastors receiving payment for their services, just like artists and actors. They point out that pastors are motivational speakers who deserve compensation. However, it's essential to approach this topic with humility and reverence, recognizing that the money given to pastors comes from poor people. There are also concerns that some pastors are false prophets who take advantage of their congregations. As such, we must be cautious about who we give our money to. To clarify, prayer should be a regular part of our spiritual practice and the Lord's Prayer is not meant to be recited verbatim but serves as a model for the topics and themes that should be included in our prayers.
